The League of Professional Theatre Women presents THE LEGACY PROJECT: Pioneering Women Producers at the Martin E. Segal Center on 34th and 5th ave in New York City today, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The program is dedicated to some of the women who shaped American theatre as we know it: Hallie Flanagan, Eva Le Gallienne, Margaret Webster, Lucille Lortel, Susan Glaspell and Cheryl Crawford.

There’s a documentary at 2:30 pm on Margo Jones, then panels at 4:30 pm and 6: 30 pm, and a reception at 8:00 pm. Participants include Alexis Greene, Helen Sheehy, J.Ellen Gainor, Wendy Smith, Susan Quinn and Wendy Vierow. There will also be readings by Kristin Marting, Ludovica Villar-Hauser, Suzanne Bennett, Chris Wight and Lillian Rodriguez.
