What an exciting development. Hall starts on July 1st. Read more about her appointment in The Commercial Appeal.

New Theater Company (For Women Over 50): MPR News profiles Prime Productions, a new theater company in the Twin Cities founded to put women of a certain age center stage.

Film Program Expands: Women’s contribution to film has two cheerleaders in Kering in UniFrance. According to this Women’s Wear Daily article, the companies will add more events to its Women In Motion programming, which spotlights how women have changed the landscape of film.

ICYMI: New York Theatre Workshop announced its 2017-2018 season recently, and all five of its mainstage productions will be directed by women: Anne Kauffman, Jo Bonney, Rachel Chavkin and Lileana Blain Cruz. Read more about NYTW’s season at American Theatre magazine.

Opportunity: Women In Film’s 2017 Film Finishing Fund is accepting applications through June 30th. Deadline wrote about this opportunity. If you’ve got a film “by and/or about women in documentary, fiction, animated and/or experimental, shorts or feature-length films” consider applying.
