Numbers Speak for Themselves: According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, the gender pay gap will not close for awhile. The earliest projected year is 2038 for the state of Florida with the state of Wyoming looking at 2153. Yes, 146 years from now. Find the projections for your state HERE.

Parenting & Careers in the Arts: This combination needs a lot of attention. Rachel Spencer Hewitt takes a look at the UK’s PIPA, Parents in the Performing Arts, and the organizations survey of caregivers in the performing arts on Howlround.

Spotlight on: Atlanta Film Festival, where more than half of its films are directed by women. Read this preview article via ArtsATL. The festival  runs March 24 through April 2.

Theater Festival: The women’s theater festival has spread to Westchester for the first time. Glass Ceiling Breakers presents seven short plays by women playwrights March 24 through April 2 at Axial Theatre in Pleasantville. Read about it HERE.

 ICYMI:
Jennifer Lopez speaks about being Latina in Hollywood. Read about her take on the plight of women and Latinx in entertainment (and her joy that she landed the role of Selena in the eponymous film 20 years ago) at the Waterloo Record.

Opportunity: Theatreworks Residency at City College of Technology (pictured above) in Brooklyn, New York. Have a theater production you’re developing? This residency offers you the opportunity to work on the technical aspects of production and develop your piece further. Apply HERE. There may even be space available this June.
