crouse200The New York Times obituary for Anna E. Crouse is a must-read for anyone who on either side of the footlights. What a lovely tribute to a woman who helped shape the theater world today. Have you ever bought a ticket at TKTS? You have Ms. Crouse to thank for that. And according to TDF’s latest numbers, around 1.4 million tickets were purchased at the booths–Duffy Square, downtown and Brooklyn–last year. She also played a major role in the revitalization of Lincoln Center.

In other news, Beyoncé–one of the world’s best known singers-has picked up the mantle regarding pay parity. In The Shriver Report, she penned an essay about the inequality in pay women receive. You can read it here.
