Supporting creative work by women
TCG is hosting a fabulous Playwrights in Conversation at The Greene Space, WNYC’s beautiful downtown studio on Wednesday, June 19th at 8:00 pm. And the playwrights in conversation are three of today’s hottest scribes (and they are all women).
Annie Baker has charmed and moved audiences around the country with her plays Circle Mirror Transformation, The Aliens and The Flick. Melissa James Gibson is known for her stunning work — [sic], This, What Rhymes with America. Amy Herzog’s wonderful plays include The Great God Pan, 4000 Miles and Belleville. And, the event will be moderated by the Village Voice’s Alexis Soloski. This is a not-to-be-missed event.
Tickets are only $15 — cheaper than any show around — and for those who cannot make it to 44 Charlton Street in NYC, the event will be live streamed.
