League of Professional Theatre Women Recognizes Christine Jones and Jessica Burr

Yesterday, the League of Professional Theatre Women held its Award Luncheon at Sardi’s in New York City.  The League recognized the work of scenic designer Christine Jones and Blessed Unrest Artistic Director Jessica Burr.

Christine Jones received the Ruth Morley Design Award.  She won a Tony Award ® in 2010 for scene designs for American Idiot.  Her other Broadway credits include Everyday Rapture and The Green Bird.

Jessica Burr was awarded the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award for her work as the artistic director of the Blessed Unrest.  Works by Women saw Blessed Unrest’s outstanding production of Machinal earlier this year.
