Helen Hunt Set to Play Iconic Role

Academy Award-winning actress Helen Hunt will join the cast of Our Town as the stage manager.  She follows Michael Shannon and Michael McKean most recently in the role, and becomes the first female stage manager in this critically acclaimed production, which opened 16 months ago at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street).

I’ve been a fan of Hunt’s since her youth.  I must confess the 80’s teen flick Girls Just Want to Have Fun is one of my top guilty pleasures.

I, also, cannot rave enough about this production of Our Town; it’s no surprise that it is the longest-running production in the play’s history.  It is superbly directed and acted, haunting and spare.
