Supporting creative work by women

What’s at stake

Today’s Metro paper profiled the upcoming arts budget cuts in New York.  A whopping 40% is being chopped off the state budget, and expectations are that the city will lose 31% of its arts money.  This is disheartening to say the least.  New York is the home to tens of thousands of artists; in fact, art is one of the essential fibers of the city’s fabric.  These drastic budget cuts have many small and mid-sized organizations worried about keeping the doors open.

Theatergoers, arts enthusiasts, music lovers and everyone else, please support the arts today.  See a show.  Visit a museum. Go to a concert.  Choose a venue off the beaten path.  Your attendance means more than you could possibly know.
